【摘要】:Thepurposeofthispracticeistoevaluatethehomogeneityofalotofmaterialselectedasacandidatefordevelopmentasareferencematerialorcertifiedreferencematerial,orforaL/Bselectedforsomeotherpurpose(seeAppendixX1-AppendixX4forexamples).Thispracticeisapplicabletothetestingofsamplestakenatvariousstagesduringproduction.Forexample,continuouscastmaterials,ingots,rolledbars,wire,etc.,couldbesampledatvariousstagesduringtheproductionprocessandtested.1.1Thispracticeissuitablefortestingthehomogeneityofametallotorbatch(L/B)insolidformbysparkatomicemissionspectrometry(Spark-AES).ItiscompliantwithISOGuide35x2014;CertificationofReferenceMaterials:GeneralandStatisticalPrinciples.ItisprimarilyintendedforuseinthedevelopmentofreferencematerialsbutmaybeusedinanyotherapplicationwhereaL/Bistobetestedforhomogeneity.Itisdesignedtoprovideacombinedstudyofwithin-unitandbetween-unithomogeneityofsuchaL/B.1.2ThispracticeisdesignedprimarilytotestforelementalhomogeneityofametalL/BbySpark-AES.However,itcanbeadaptedforusewithotherinstrumentaltechniquessuchasX-rayfluorescencespectrometry(XRF)oratomicabsorptionspectrometry(AAS).Note18212;Thispracticeisnotlimitedtoelementalanalysisortechniques.Thispracticecanbeappliedtoanypropertythatcanbemeasured,forexample,thepropertyofhardnessasmeasuredbytheRockwelltechnique.1.3Thecriteriaforacceptanceofthetestspecimensmustbepreviouslydetermined.Thatis,themaximumacceptablelevelofheterogeneitymustbedeterminedonthebasisoftheintendeduseoftheL/B.1.4ItisassumedthattheanalystistrainedinSpark-AEStechniquesincludingthespecimenpreparationproceduresneededtomakespecimensreadyformeasurements.Itisfurtherassumedthattheanalystisversedinandhasaccesstocomputer-baseddatacaptureandanalysis.Themethodologyofthispracticeisbestutilizedinacomputerbasedspreadsheet.1.5Thispracticecanbeappliedtooneormoreelementsinaspecimenprovidedthesignal-to-backgroundratioisnotalimitingfactor.1.6Thispracticeincludesmethodstocorrectforsystematicdriftoftheinstrumentwithtime.(Warning8212;Ifdriftoccurs,erroneousconclusionswillbeobtainedfromthedataanalysis.)1.7Thispracticealsoincludesmethodstorefineestimatesofcompositionanduncertaintythroughtheuseofatypestandardormultiplecalibrants.1.8Itfurtherprovidesameansofreducinganonhomogeneoussettoahomogeneoussubset.1.9Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
