【摘要】:Theproceduresinthesetestmethodsshouldbeusedwithcautionforacceptanceofcommercialshipmentsowingtotheabsenceoffactualinformationonthebetween-laboratoryprecisionofmanyofthetestproceduresincludedinthesetestmethods.Itisrecommendedthatanyprogramofacceptancetestingbeprecededbyaninterlaboratorycheckinthelaboratoryofthepurchaserandthelaboratoryofthesupplieronreplicatespecimensofthematerialstobetestedforeachproperty(orproperties)tobeevaluated.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,testsamplesshouldbeusedthatareashomogeneousaspossible,thataredrawnfromthematerialfromwhichthedisparatetestresultswereobtained,andthatarerandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Othermaterialswithestablishedtestvaluesmaybeusedforthispurpose.Thetestresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.Thesignificanceanduseofparticularpropertiesarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofspecifictestmethods.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthetestingofindustrialfilamentyarnsmadewhollyofmanufacturedorganic-basefibers,cordstwistedfromsuchyarns,fabricswovenfromsuchcords,andproductsthataremadespecificallyforuseinthemanufactureofpneumatictires.Theymaybeappliedtosimilaryarnsandcordsusedforreinforcingotherrubbergoodsandforotherindustrialapplications.Thetestmethodsapplytonylon,polyester,andrayonyarnsandtirecordstwistedfromsuchyarnsandtofabricsmadefromsuchcords.Theyarnorcordmaybewoundoncones,tubes,bobbins,spools,orbeams;maybewovenintofabric;ormaybeinsomeotherform.Themethodsincludetestingprocedureonlyandincludenospecificationsortolerances.1.2Noprocedureisincludedforthedeterminationoffatigueresistanceofcord,butseveralcommonlyusedproceduresforthemeasurementoffatigueresistanceofcordsinrubberwerepublishedintheappendixofthesetestmethodsinthe1967AnnualBookofASTMStandards,Part24,andinearlierissuesofTestMethodsD885.1.3Thesectionsonx201C;GrowthofConditionedYarnsandCords,x201D;x201C;PropertiesofYarnsandCordsatElevatedTemperature,x201D;andx201C;PropertiesofWetYarnsandCordsx201D;havebeenmovedtoAppendixX1-AppendixX3asnon-mandatoryinformationalitemsbecauseoftheirverylimitedusebytheindustryandbecauseprecisionandbiasstatementsarenotincluded.
